5 Korean Drama’s Worth Re-watching

Korean Drama’s are one of my favorite things to watch. If I could I would love to be able to watch every single Kdrama over and over again, but sadly I have to live a normal life and can’t spend every second in Kdrama world. This doesn’t stop me from trying though!

These are a couple of the Korean dramas that I have watched over and over again and never get tried of them! If you want to start watching Kdrama’s, or maybe you just need a one of your favorites to re-watch hopefully this list will help you!

String Woman Do Bong Soon

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon aired on JTBC from February 24 to April 15, 2017. This drama was iconic during it’s time of airing, because of it’s new fresh story along with the humor and thrill involved, it quickly became very popular and still is today!

This drama is starring Park Bo Young as Do Bong Soon, Park Hyung Sik as An Min Hyuk and Ji Soo as In Gook Do. These 3 are very popular actors, which really lead to the drama becoming so popular. Park Bo Young specifically gained a lot of popularity from this role.

This drama is about a young girl who has a super power that allows her to be extremely strong. She really struggles with this power and goes back and forth between loving it and hating it. An Min Hyuk is the CEO of a rich gaming company, and hires Do Bong Soon to become this body guard to protect him against a hit man. Throughout the drama a kidnapper is on the lose in Do Bong Soon’s town and Do Bong Soon has to help fight against him. With a love triangle, a scary(but kinda cute) bad guy, and a super independent woman this drama is a perfect mix!

Do Bong Soon is one of my all time favorite female leads, she is brave, cute, funny, and has a mind of her own! I love her so much and every time I re-watch this drama I try to learn more and more from her character, because she is that great! If you want to see a funny, cute, and kinda crazy female lead then Do Bong Soon is the girl for you!

For me, a drama with love, humor, and horror is a perfect mix that works so well together. Every time I re-watch this drama I find new things to laugh at and new things to fall in love with! I honestly believe this was one of the best dramas of 2017, so if you need something new or something to re-watch I recommend Strong Woman Do Bong Soon!!

My Love From Another Star

If you know anything about any Korean Drama then you know My Love From Another Star. While it isn’t a super new drama, it is still seen as one of the most popular and iconic dramas. It aired on SBS from December 18, 2013 to February 27, 2014.

This drama is starring Gianna Jun as Cheon Song Yi and Kim Soo Hyun as Do Min Joon. These two actors became hugely popular after the airing of this drama. They are seen today as two of the best actors in the Korean Entertainment Industry.

This drama is about a very famous and kind of annoying actress who is currently facing a lot of troubles in her life, from her career failing to her loneliness she is very upset with her current life. Do Min Joon is a alien that came down to earth hundreds of years ago, the year is now 2013 and he only has 3 months until he can go back to his planet. Throughout the drama you see Cheon Song Yi and Do Min Joon grow closer and closer, they have to face troubles with business men and time.

If you are looking for a drama that has a very intense love story that involves a lot of drama and obstacles then My Love From Another Star is the drama for you! Trust me you will cry and cry no matter how many times you re-watch this drama!

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

Like Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo was also a highly popular drama that involved love and humor. This drama aired on MBC from November 16, 2016 to January 11, 2017.

This drama stars Lee Sung Kyung as Kim Bok Joo and Nam Joo Hyuk as Jung Joon Hyung. For the both of these actors, this drama was their break out role playing a lead role. Lee Sung Kyung received a lot of popularity from this role and most fans want to see her again as a female lead. The chemistry between these two was so strong they actually dated for a short time after the filming of this drama!

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo is a very light-heart fun drama about a couple of college students. Kim Bok Joo is a weightlifting student who has never been concerned with boys or relationships. She really only cares about her friends, family, and weightlifting, but this all changes when she encounters someone from her past. Jung Joon Hyung is a swimmer at the same college as Kim Bok Joo, these two eventually meet and remember their past. The two go through the daily struggles of life, while trying to from a relationship.

This is a drama that really focuses on the daily struggles of life so if you want to watch a drama that doesn’t involve fantasy or extreme drama then this is the drama for you! It involves strong friendships, family troubles, and a super super cute relationship. This drama is one of the icons of 2016 and I think it impacted a lot of people for a long time!

Bring it on, Ghost

Bring it on, Ghost is one of those dramas that I think deserved a lot more popularity. While it was still popular during it’s time of airing, it doesn’t have the same iconic sense like the rest of them. This drama aired on tvN from July 11 to August 30, 2016.

This drama is starring TaecYeon as Park Bong Pal and Kim So Hyun as Kim Hyun Ji. Personally, I think this was the breakout role for Kim So Hyun. Before this drama, she was never cast in a highly viewed drama as a lead role that was highly viewed. TaecYeon is also a very popular actor, so anything he is in will is guaranteed to be great!

This is a drama about a college student who makes money by using his power to see ghost to help people get rid of them. His world is great until he meets a very aggressive and very cute ghost name Kim Hyun Ji. Kim Hyun Ji is trying to figure out how she died so she can pass on, and she believes that Park Bong Pal is the key to figuring this out. Throughout the drama the two characters continue to fight ghost while forming a deep relationship that the same time.

If you want to watch a funny, but sometimes dramatic drama then this is the one for you! This drama has a great mix of dramatic moments combined with humor and everyday struggles. I really like college dramas, so if you do to then this one will be perfect! Not to mention the fact that this drama also has a horror twist to it, which makes the whole drama flow perfectly! You should give this one  watch if you haven’t yet!

Alright this one might be a little bit bias, but whatever. This is my all time favorite Korean drama ever! Everything about this drama is amazing and honestly if you haven’t seen it yet then what in the world are you doing!! This drama aired on MBC from July 20 to September 14, 2016.

This drama is starring Lee Jong Suk as Kang Chul and Han Hyo Joo as Oh Yeon Joo. Both of these actors are highly famous actors that have been praised for a lot of their work. Lee Jong Suk is probably one of the top 10 most famous actors in South Korea, and honestly he deserves it!

This drama is about a girl whose father writes and draws Korea’s most popular webtoon. The webtoon revolves around the character Kang Chul. However, everything beings to change once Oh Yeon Joo begins to get sucked into the webtoon and lives there with the characters. Throughout the drama the characters have to figure out why they are passing into each others world and try to manage their loving relationship without being in the same world.

If you want to watch a drama that is fast past, not 100% based around romance, and has a lot of mystery and action then trust me W is the best drama for you! This is one of my favorite fantasy dramas and I could watch it over and over again and still get excited about every single plot twist. This drama will make you never want to stop watching, because you will need to know what happens next. If you haven’t watched this drama yet, watch it and if you need something to re-watch, watch it. Trust me you will not be disappointed!
